Permanent Part Time (28.5hrs a week)

 

Woronora River Public School Before and After School Care Centre are looking for a highly motivated individual who would like to coordinate a small Outside School Hours Care Centre during the hours of 7am – 9am & 2.30pm – 6pm. Centre Management will require the successful applicant to start shortly after appointment.

 

 WRPS BASC is a small, not for profit, Accredited, community owned Outside School Hours Care Centre. The Centre caters for up to 20 children per session before school and 25 children per session after school averaging around 10 – 15 children per session.

 

The Coordinator will be responsible for all facets of operating an OOSH Centre. Duties will include, but are not confined to, supervision of all care sessions, accepting payments of fees, receipting, taking bookings, preparing and serving breakfast and afternoon tea, the supervision of casual staff and creating a menu and activities program for each term.

 

WRPS BASC operates under a single staff service model and applicants must be willing and capable to work in this environment.

 

You will have sound knowledge of OSHCQA and middle childhood development and be able to manage all the duties and responsibilities of running a small Centre. You must have a genuine interest in, and enthusiasm for, caring for and catering to primary aged children, a willingness to engage, interact and entertain the children in your care and follow the WRPS BASC’s Centre Philosophy, policies and practices.

 

This position is perfect for someone who wants to be involved in all aspects of running a small, community operated, Before & After School Care Centre.

 

A minimum requirement of a Diploma in Children’s Services (preferably with OOSH components), Certificate in First Aid and cleared Working With Children Check are essential to gain this position.
